Halloween history is all about dressing up in scary Halloween costumes and eating sweets. There is no reason to make your party any different. When Halloween party planning it’s important that you decide on a theme, let your imagination go wild. Some good Halloween party ideas include horror films, myths and many more. Be sure to include some frightening Halloween party supplies. Green jelly with jelly insects always goes down a treat and not just with the kids. The important thing when thinking about Halloween recipes is to consider whether you can dress your Halloween recipes up so they are suitably frightening for a Halloween party. Don’t forget to include alcohol for the adults and pop for the children, Halloween party games can be a very thirsty affair. Halloween party favors can be as outrageous or traditional as you like. Most kids will be more than happy with a bag full of treats, or you could use a party game to decorate cookies and scoop out pumpkins. These also make excellent party favors. One of the most entertaining parts of arranging a Halloween party must be arranging the Halloween decorations. Fake spiders and bats are inexpensive at any time of year, although buying them in advance will mean they will be cheaper. Drape white sheets all over the furniture and the house, especially the banisters. Get hold of some dead flowers and spray them black. Fake spider webbing is always available and gives a brilliant effect, especially if you get the UV ones that glow in the dark. Consider putting up UV strip lights, if your budget is a little higher, this will really show off the white sheets to great effect.

Door to door trick or treating may be a thing of the past, but Kids’ spooky Halloween parties, done with imagination and creativity, can be an alternative not only every bit as much fun, but much safer than the door to door trick or treating you might have done in the past. You remember running excitedly from house to house on Halloween, yelling, "Trick or Treat!" and receiving goodies from everyone. A safer, more acceptable alternative is to easily and inexpensively entertain little ghouls and Goblins at your very own kids’ Halloween party. It is important to make a guest list for your child's Halloween party, and enlist the help of other parents who want a safe, but fun, alternative for their own children, to provide adequate supervision. Keep in mind that, to keep children entertained and occupied, you must provide more than treats. Halloween party games, contests, and activities are important as well. Here are some safe, fun suggestions sure to entertain at your kids’ Halloween party: • A Halloween costume contest where each child votes for the best costume at the party, and the winner receives a prize. • Pumpkin decorating contests. Each child is given a miniature pumpkin, and allowed to decorate the pumpkin with sequins, glitter, markers, yarn, etc. The children then vote on the best decorated pumpkin, and the winner earns a treat. Each child is allowed to take their decorated pumpkin home with them after the party. • Musical ghosts: the children form a circle, and while spooky music plays they pass the 'ghost' (a white, plastic bag filled with goodies, tied with a rubber band, and painted to look like a ghost head) and the child holding the 'ghost' when the music stops is ‘out’ until only one child is left. That child is the winner, and earns the ghostly treat. • A game sure to find approval is “Who’s the Mummy?” where the children divide up into pairs, and each pair is given a roll of toilet paper. With one child wrapping, and the other child being the mummy, who ever wraps the whole roll fastest wins the game, and a treat. • Another great game for your kids Halloween party, would be a quest to find the ghost who ate the candy. Small, white bags, with ghosts’ faces drawn on, are filled with Halloween candy, and hidden throughout the party area. Children would be given hints and instructions, and allowed to search to find the bags filled with treats. Though the days of children being able to go door to door yelling "Trick or Treat" may be a thing of the past, and your children’s memories may be different from your own, your Kids’ Halloween party can create wonderful memories to cherish, and be passed down from generation to generation, while keeping your children not only happy, but safe, at their very own Kids’ Halloween party.

When fall comes and football is in full force women around the country begin to use the phrase football widow. I can attest to a few Saturdays and Sundays where the TV in our home is going all day and my husband is glued to his favorite chair. After our first football season together where his team was 15-1, I decided to start hosting football theme parties. This way I can see my friends while he can watch the game. Do you need football party ideas? Here are some simple steps to making Saturday and Sunday as fun for the rest of the family as it is for the men. Pull the dinning room and kitchen table to the living room. This way you can set up a buffet that is in the room where the TV is. By doing this you are not creating competition between the kitchen or dinning room and the living room. Then dig out the silver. I have found that this is a great venue to satisfy my desire to use my grandmothers silver while living a beer and chip life style. Use the punch bowl filled with ice to chill soda and beer. Use the serving trays for homemade hoagies and pesto pizza squares. Then serve dessert on silver plates using the silverware for this one course. Prepare early. Have all the food cooked and served before the games begin. This way you can sit back and socialize while your guests are watching the game. Serve all the food in a buffet style. Place football party supplies, plates, and cups along side bottle openers and napkins. This allows guests can serve themselves. Keep a recycle bin and garbage bin close at hand so that your guests can find them without having to venture too far from the game. Then sit back and relax. When you join in the fun by planning a party your family and friends will no longer use the dreaded phrase football widow.

A NFL Football theme party needs a couple of great NFL Football decorating ideas to WOW the football fans. Decorate your party with NFL Football decorations in the colors of the teams who are playing in the football game. Decorate a buffet table by painting white ten yard lines on a plastic green tablecloth plus constructing goal posts at either end of the table to resemble a real football field. Use football shaped confetti to sprinkle over the top of the table. Need more NFL Football party ideas? Try using football shaped light up ice cubes for your drinks in a variety of colors are a festive idea. Look for football shaped bowls or bowls in the shape of a helmet for all of your snacks. Use banners, posters and pennants for wall decorations. If you want you can make your own NFL Football pennants, cut triangles of the teams colors out of paper or felt. Loop paper chains around the room. Cut strips of the team's colors out of paper. Glue the strips into circles one on the other. Alternate the colors in a pattern. Another fun and easy to make wall decoration is little jerseys. Cut shirt shapes out of felt or paper. Glue small numbers to the jerseys and attach them to string to hang around the room. For a cute affect use clothes pins to attach the jerseys to the string. Football fans will feel like they are at the game with all of the personal touches you put into your NFL Football party.

Football fans have tailgate parties that can start as early as 8am, as soon as the stadium parking lot opens. They throw balls, barbecue, listen to music, watch football highlights on portable TVs and chant for the coming victory of the home team One of the earliest examples of a game similar to football existed in ancient China. Documents reveal that around 200 BC a game called Tsu Chu (literally 'kick ball') was played with two 30ft-high bamboo poles acting as goals. Party supplies like paper plates, napkins, and cups are a perfect way to complete a football party theme. football party decorations like inflatables, and door hangers add to the fun of a football party. Loot bags filled with candy tucked in basket or a football piñata can be used as a centerpiece and double as an office prizes. Party favors like face paint, hats, noisemakers, party poppers, and confetti makes for an outstanding football theme. Team colors, good food, fanastic fans and a grill with an open tailgate can make your tailgate party the best ever. Tailgate parties started out with humble beginnings, a few drinks, snacks, and a couple sandwiches before a game. Now tailgating has become one of Americas greatest sport traditions. All you need for a tailgate party are a couple of friends, a parking lot outside a game, a grill fired up and tailgates down. Here are some helpful tailgating tips that will help any parking lot chef prepare a pleasing feast. Always keep things simple by doing all your prep work a day before the game. Precut all food items and keep it in disposable containers for easy clean up. Make a check off list so you don't forget important items like paper plates, napkins, plastic forks, and spoons and of course the paper towels. Trash bags will surely be appreciated when it's clean up time and of course remember to bring plenty of water. A good tailgater dresses the part so don't be caught without your team colors. You can also bring a couple extra team jerseys or sweatshirts for your friends can dress their part. A good rule to follow in tailgating is arriving 3 to 4 hours before the game so you can get a good spot and set up. Serve the main menu item an hour and a half before the game so everyone can relax and enjoy their food. Plan to leave at least an hour or two after the game so you have hang out time to discuss the game and also clean up time. Be respectful and leave the area as you found it if not cleaner.

For many people the best part of throwing a Halloween party is being able to decorate the outside of their home. This doesn’t have to be limited to just the front yard. Decorating the backyard can create a very spooky atmosphere. You can even design a detour that will take each of your guests on a long walk that circles the backyard before leading them to the entrance. This way they get to enjoy the full benefits of your Halloween decorationsThe traditional pumpkins and jack-o-lanterns make great additions when you decorate the outside of your home for Halloween. The light that these decorations give off will help your guest to see their way around and add the perfect lighting to create scary shadows that surround the other decorations. Ghost and goblins are an old favorite that can still make your guest look over their shoulder twice. Don’t be afraid to get very creative with these items. Some of the newer designs are now being made inflatable to help give them an even more lifelike appearance. The use of a fog machine can create an illusion that can make your yard the spookiest of all. This is especially true when you litter the lawn with fake body parts and fake blood splattered all about the area. The fog just intensifies the whole spooky theme. Don’t forget about a special door bell ring that alerts you of the incoming guest with screams, howling or some other unique Halloween greeting. You can even have a host that is decked out in one of the scariest costumes around to stand outside your door to personally welcome each and every one of you Halloween guest. Add special sound effects that will begin whenever your guest walks past a certain area. You can also use props that are programmed on a timer to go off at specific intervals. Spider webs are also a great decorating idea that will help you to create a spooky outdoor theme. Make sure that you don’t forget the customary black cat and maybe a witch or two sitting in the trees watching the guest wondering by. It’s just not Halloween without a few traditional Halloween props.

Although historical Halloween has some sinister beginnings, today Halloween means dressing up in Halloween costumes and having a wonderful time. Parties, dressing up at work, decorating the house with Halloween decorations all are part of the festivities that have become Halloween. To really get into the whole Halloween thing however must include not only a great costume but also a great Halloween mask. The costume is rather simple to obtain as there are costume shops in most major cities and it's even possible to order a particular costume on the web for delivery just before Halloween. Although you may now have the clothing to look like your favorite character or monster, your face still is easily recognizable. This is where a high quality Halloween mask can really come into play. If there's a choice between a fancy costume or a great Halloween mask and makeup, definitely take the mask. The reason is that although the costume can complete a certain "look" any character you can imagine can also wear basic street clothes. Consider the strong heavily made-up character, a clown. Yes, it's great to have a funny costume and big shoes, but a clown could also wear a business suit or some pajamas and be just as fun. How about a basic witch or warlock? A good Halloween mask and makeup and a cape can make a wonderful witch. So if the character you want to be for Halloween needs face or hand makeup, remember it's the Halloween mask and interaction with the character that will be memorable, not the costume. Halloween masks come in a variety of styles and types. The most popular and easiest to obtain is the full head latex type masks. These are the type that are available in all the Halloween shops that seem to open up the first part of October and disappear November 1st. These masks come pre colored and decorated and unfortunately also look like you're wearing a mask. Another option is simply makeup. Theatrical makeup is easily obtained and does a fairly good job if used along with "stick on" type appliances. Appliances are small pieces of pre formed costume latex in shapes like scars, gashes and other more gruesome things. The only problem is that many of the appliances that are easily available tend toward the more gruesome type characters, The idea is to apply the scars etc. first then finish off with the makeup to hide the edges of the appliances. All in all, a good, though somewhat limited Halloween mask idea. The best idea of all however are full facial appliances. These are theatrical grade latex masks that are applied directly to your face and give an extremely realistic appearance. These appliances can literally transform anyone into a wide variety of characters. Wizards, warlocks, clowns, monsters, etc. They can even age someone into their 80's or 90's. The biggest benefit of these types of Halloween mask is that they allow you the opportunity to become the character. You friends and guests will not remember that you "dressed up" for Halloween but that you actually were that favorite hobbit or troll. Now however is the time to order your Halloween mask, adhesives, and makeup. It will take a few tries to get it right and you don't want to worry about it on the night of your Halloween theme party. Take the time now to find that perfect Halloween mask and learn how to make this Halloween the most memorable for everyone.

Lift up almond; squeeze red decorator gel onto the space and press almond back in place in such a way that the red gel oozes out from below. You can also make slashes in the finger and fill them up with this red gel to add that freaky touch of bloody fingers. Finally, remove from the baking sheets and let it cool. Repeat with remaining dough till you have enough blood-stained fingers to gross out your friends, family, or beloved ! Pumpkin Pie 2 slightly beaten eggs 3/4 cup sugar 1 1lb. can pumpkin (2 cups) 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. ginger 1/4 tsp. cloves 1 2/3 cups milk (approx 1 can) 1/2 tsp. all spice Get one 9-inch pie crust, slightly cooked. You can eat it cold or at room temperature and you can serve it to your folks with whipped cream at your Halloween party.

The following information is based on the assumption that you have taken your budget into consideration. Phase 1: When planning any event you must determine the purpose of the event (occasion), set the date, select the time of day, decide on how many guests will be invited, and choose a location. Kids take their birthdays very seriously, and get extremely disappointed if they are anything short of spectacular. Throwing an unforgettable birthday party can sometimes seem like a task better suited for a professional event planner. But with the proper party supplies, a little know how and a lot of imagination, you can throw a birthday party that the kids will be talking about all year. It is very important to consult with the birthday boy or girl about the kind of party they would like, as kids or teenagers have their own ideas of what makes a party fun. It is important to ensure that party theme and ideas, party games, food and favors are kid friendly. A successful birthday party always has a great theme. There are many great party themes to choose from, ranging from the birthday boy/girl's favorite toy to their favorite movie genre. The possibilities are endless, and a good theme can really help pull the entire party together. Once the theme is chosen, planning the party becomes much easier. All the decorations and food should match the theme. For instance, if you are throwing a Western theme party arranging for cowboy birthday banners and barbequed burgers with chili and hot dogs is a good idea. Party favors can be cowboy or cowgirl hats. Games are an important part of any birthday party and offering small prizes to the winner of each game is a great idea. Party favors are generally the highlight for children at a birthday party, and they love getting little gifts to take home. Small favors to go along with the party theme can be exciting. For example if it is a princess theme, girls can be given tiaras as they arrive and a bag full of beauty items such as hairbrushes, hair clips, nail polish and lip-gloss. Other general favors include pencil and eraser sets, notepads and candies. Planning a birthday party can be a difficult and time consuming task, but it is all worth it if the party is a success. Birthday parties are important occasions and should always be made special with the best of supplies available in the market.

Other than dressing up in costumes, Halloween is all about yummy treats. Of course you are not limited to just candy when it comes to Halloween food. Here are some great snack and meal ideas. These are perfect for a Halloween party, or as a way to enjoy the excitement as you count down to the big day. Ghostly Sandwiches Fix your favorite sandwich on white bread. One of our favorites for these ghostly sandwiches is a turkey and cheese sandwich with just a touch of mayonnaise (all white ingredients for a spooky white ghost). Fix the sandwich as usual, then use a ghost cookie cutter to cut it into ghost shapes. If you don’t have a ghost cookie cutter, you can cut the ghost freehand or make a simple pattern out of cardboard or wax paper to use as a guide. Bat Cookies Make a batch of your favorite sugar cookie dough, or use a pack of refrigerated dough from your grocery store. Roll out the dough and cut out bat shapes. Use a bat-shaped cookie cutter, or cut them freehand. Melt some dark chocolate and brush it on the bat cookie. Of course you could also dip one side of the cookie in the melted chocolate and set the cookies on some wax paper until the chocolate has a chance to harden. After that they are ready to eat or store in an airtight container. Jack-O-Lantern Tortilla Wraps Start with a plain flour tortilla. Spread some pimento cheese on it, or layer some sliced ham and shredded cheddar cheese on there. Anything orange works well. Wrap the tortilla tightly, then cut it in ½ inch slices. Lay each of the slices on its side and use some nuts, raisins or small pieces of veggies (like yellow or red peppers) to make the eyes and mouth of your little Jack-O-Lantern tortilla Wrap. Pumpkin Pizza Start with your favorite pizza dough or a ready-made crust. Top it with pizza sauce and your favorite toppings. Add a layer of cheddar cheese on top. Then use slices of green pepper to make the ridges of the pumpkin – you’ll arrange them in ( ) shapes around the pizza pan. Use pepperoni slices or red and yellow pepper slices to form the jack-o-lantern’s face. Bake as usual.
