Bob the Builder and Thomas the Tank Engine will be moving to a new home when Apax Partners clinches a 475m deal to acquire their parent company, Hit Entertainment.
Apax, which is being advised by Merrill Lynch, is set to agree a 300p-a-share offer with Hit.The deal will follow more than a year of takeover speculation.
